Terms & Conditions of Hire
1. Hire Agreement
By confirming a booking with Wilton Event Hire Co., the customer agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.
2. Booking Confirmation
Bookings are confirmed once:
• A quote/invoice is accepted
• A deposit or full payment is received
Wilton Event Hire Co. reserves the right to cancel bookings if payment terms are not met.
3. Payment Terms
Full payment is required prior to delivery or collection unless otherwise agreed.
Accepted payment methods may include bank transfer, or credit card.
4. Security Bond
Wilton Event Hire Co. may require a refundable security bond for certain hires.
The bond will be refunded once all equipment has been returned in the same condition it was delivered.
Any damages, loss or excessive cleaning may be deducted from the bond.
5. Hire Period
Hire periods are generally 24 hours unless otherwise agreed.
Equipment must be returned or made available for collection at the agreed time.
Additional charges may apply for late returns.
6. Delivery & Collection
Delivery and collection times will be arranged in advance.
Customers must ensure:
• Clear access to the delivery location
• Someone is available if required
• Equipment can be safely placed and collected
Additional fees may apply for difficult access, stairs, or extended waiting time.
Additional costs apply for setup of hired items.
7. Equipment Responsibility
The customer is responsible for all hired equipment from the time of delivery until collection.
Equipment must be:
• Used correctly
• Not moved from the agreed location without permission
• Returned in the same condition
8. Damage, Loss or Theft
The customer agrees to pay for any damage, loss or theft of hired items.
Charges may include:
• Repair costs
• Replacement value
• Cleaning costs where required
9. Weather
Wilton Event Hire Co. is not responsible for weather conditions affecting events.
Outdoor hire items should be protected from rain, wind, and extreme conditions.
Damage caused by weather exposure may be charged to the customer.
10. Cancellations
Cancellation notice must be provided in writing.
Typical cancellation policy:
- More than 7 days before event — deposit refunded or credit issued
• 5 – 7 days before event — deposit retained
• Less than 48 hours — full payment may be required
11. Liability
Wilton Event Hire Co. is not liable for injury, damage or loss arising from misuse of hired equipment.
Customers must ensure equipment is used safely and appropriately.
12. Cleaning
Items should be returned reasonably clean and free from excessive dirt, food or decorations.
Additional cleaning fees may apply.
13. Ownership
All hired equipment remains the property of Wilton Event Hire Co.
